Garden Party Update

This years Garden Party held on the 23rd July at Bank Close House, Chesterfield was a great success. Throughout the day service users, family and friends came together for a fun filled day to help raise money for our residents. Our aim this year was to try and match our last years total of £517. After counting up all that we raised, this years total was a staggering £1,630. This would not have been possible without all of the hard work, support and kind donations from all of the people who came along to support us.

A service user meeting will take place in the near future where we will discuss how the funds will be best spent.

We would like to say a big THANK YOU to everybody who took part in making this possible.

Pamper Day Update

The pamper day we held on the 6th July was an amazing success and we now have many relaxed and rejuvenated residents. Some service users enjoyed a full manicure and polish, some indulged in a mini facial or head massage, while others enjoyed a simple hand massage. The response was really good from all the residents who took part. We are planning on making this more of a regular activity and will be arranging for this event to take place again in the upcoming weeks. Here are a few photos taken on the day.

Doors will be open from 1:30pm and there will be a variety of things happening, including; the vintage tea party, various stalls, Hook a Duck, Hot Dog stand, angel readings and much more.

Raffle tickets are on sale now and can be purchased from the homes office. We are also collecting raffle prizes and donations which can also be handed in to the homes office.

We look forward to seeing everyone and hope that the good weather continues for us.

The Queen’s 90th Birthday Celebration

Over the weekend our residents at Goole Hall have been getting very creative. We all came together to help design and make multiple posters, banners and decorations, to decorate the home to celebrate the Queens birthday.

Throughout the day we played a selection of games, took part in a quiz and listened to music. All of the residents who took part were really hands on and enjoyed the activities thoroughly. Even our service users who didn’t want to join in with the group activities really enjoyed there themed one to one sessions.
