Rotherwood has been extended to provide accommodation for 27 residents, establishing itself as one of the leading independent care homes in Rotherham. 18 rooms having ensuite facilities. Great care has been taken throughout the home to ensure that the 'old' and 'new' blend together harmoniously, ensuring we retain the feel of a “Family Home”.

All rooms are furnished to an excellent standard with high quality decor and bedroom furniture, including lockable storage facilities. We always want our residents to feel at home during their stay and encourage them to bring small personal items of furniture for their rooms.

Each room is fitted with a TV point. An easy to operate nurse call system is also installed in each room which gives a visible and audible signal to care staff when activated.

All our residents have a choice of lounges and seating areas which feature comfortable and specially designed furnishings.

We have an experienced team of cooks who create delicious and nutritious home-cooked food, which also covers special dietary requirements.  Residents have a choice of eating in the dining room or in their own room if they prefer.

Refreshments are available 24 hrs a day.

Our team are passionate about respecting individuals rights, privacy and dignity. The home Manager, senior care assistants, together with a team of dedicated carers, cooks, domestics, maintenance operative and dedicated activities co-coordinator provide 24 hour care. We operate a keyworker system within Rotherwood enabling residents and their families, together with our staff to put together a care package to ensure that the individual needs of our residents are met.

Residents can choose to be cared for by their own GP if they are within the catchment area. If not, assistance is provided to arrange an alternative practice for their medical care.

At Rotherwood we have our own dedicated activities co-ordinator who organises a varied social calendar. This includes:
