Just quick update on what has been happening here at Bank Close House to start the new year.
Age UK – Strictly No Falling Scheme Silver Award
We are currently in the process of working alongside Age UK ( https://www.ageuk.org.uk/ ) and completing the Strictly No Falling scheme, which sets out to reduce the number of falls in a Care Home.
We have just received the Silver Award and are working towards obtaining the Gold Award, a very well done to Katy for all your hard work to achieve the silver award.
5 Star Food Hygiene
Our yearly Environmental Health food hygiene rating has been carried out and we have been awarded 5 Stars on our rating, which we have proudly displayed on our front door.
A Competitive & Creative New Year!
Our Residents have been busy this new year, enjoying a very competitive game of Dominos and making calendars for their bedrooms. Our manager even has one attached to her office door and says “thank you Liz for my lovely calendar”.
A highly valued member of our team, Susan Leighton, will be retiring today. Susan has been our activities coordinator for many years. She has been a wonderful addition to the team here at Goole Hall and we will all miss her very much.
