Making Pizzas for National Pizza Day: Chefs in Action

To celebrate National Pizza Day, our residents turned into pizza chefs, crafting their own pizzas with a variety of toppings. This activity was not just about making pizzas but about celebrating individual tastes and enjoying the fruits of our labour together.

At Charnley House, these activities are more than just pastimes. They are opportunities for our residents to engage, connect, and create new memories. Each laugh shared, card crafted, and pizza baked is a testament to the vibrant community spirit that makes Charnley House a truly special place to call home.

Valentines Day At Bank Close House

Our residents are busy, busy, busy as we make our way towards Spring.

We’ve been doing all sorts of activities at Bank Close House over the past few weeks, not least were our Valentine’s Day celebrations. Residents made Valentine’s Day cards and Love Heart messages, which are on display on the notice board in the main hallway.

We’ve also been enjoying lots of games recently. We’ve had Bingo, target game, bean bag toss, balloon tennis, 10 pin bowling and more.  Everyone loves a good game and our residents seem to be very competitive!

A Lovely Romantic Valentines Day at Bank Close House

Our Residents enjoyed making crafts and cards for Valentine’s Day, which are all proudly displayed in the main hall-way.

Staff set up a table in the Conservatory for John to have his lunch with his wife Maureen. They both enjoyed a glass of wine together and Maureen was overwhelmed when John handed her his Valentine’s card.

All the residents had a glass of fizz and chocolates during the day to celebrate.

Here are some photos of the crafts and of John and Maureen celebrating Valentines.
