Everyone a Bank Close House is getting very excited about Spring at the moment and have been doing some Spring activities and getting ready for Easter.

Liz, Ray and John have been enjoying games of Connect 4 Margaret has been enjoying Teddy Bear Therapy.

It was a wonderful surprise today when we were  visited by the lovely Jane and Karen, Community Champions from Tesco.

They came to the door and delivered a lovely donation box (pictured below).  They were so nice to the team as we answered the door and they wished everyone to Stay Safe.

This past year has been a difficult one for most people, but what it has brought is a lovely sense of community and a team spirit that we hope remains long after the pandemic is over.

A lovely Christmas was had by all here at Bank Close House care home in Chesterfield, despite the difficult circumstances in which we all find ourselves at present. Our residents opened their presents on Christmas day and enjoyed a glass of fizz to celebrate the holiday season along with a lovely Christmas dinner.

Our Director’s (Peter Hill) daughter Thalia and her friend Freya hand made Christmas cards for each resident, much to their delight. They all enjoyed opening them and reading them. Thank you Thalia and Freya for your lovely, thoughtful cards, from all at Bank Close House.

Our Connection Puzzle Piece is finished and on proud display in the hall-way for all to see. Jean has been looking at them all and finding each person.

Our Residents have been enjoying sing-a-longs and they all would like to set up a Bank Close House Choir!

We have continued with our active games such as Bean Bag Toss, Hoopla, 10 Pin Bowling, Target Game which have got very competitive!

Our seaside day on 22nd July was, unfortunately, a rainy affair, so we were unable to have all the fun and games outside. Never fear though, our resourceful team brought the fun inside instead! As you can see, everyone had a whale of a time!
