At Charnley House in Hyde, our residents have been keeping active and engaged with a wide mix of activities over the past week. From games and baking to music and dancing, there’s been plenty going on across the home.
One highlight was a lively game of giant dominoes, which brought out a fun competitive spirit and plenty of laughter. It’s always great to see residents taking part in activities that encourage both social interaction and mental stimulation.
Music has also been a big part of the week, with a reminiscence session that got everyone talking about favourite songs and artists from years gone by. A few residents even took to the floor for a dance, proving that music remains one of the best ways to bring people together.
To round things off, the kitchen was filled with the smell of baking as residents worked together to prepare cheesecakes. These sessions are always popular – not only do they offer the chance to be hands-on, but they also bring back fond memories of time spent cooking for friends and family.
At Charnley House, we’re always looking for ways to keep life stimulating and varied. The last week has been a great example of how activities can spark conversation, encourage movement, and build connections between residents and staff alike.
